2000-2018 Conference Committee Chairman and Conference Project Manager for the Anthony Powell Society. Managed highly successful international conferences in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2018. The 2005 conference was a major celebration of Powell’s centenary. The 2009 conference was in Washington, DC.
1998-2001 Founder and Owner of Anthony Powell Resources Pages and email discussion list. Ownership transferred to the Anthony Powell Society following its formation in June 2000.

2014-2015 Patient Representative, Ealing CCG Out of Hospital/PMCF Contract Monitoring Board. Healthwatch Ealing appointed patient representative. Appointed December 2014.
2014-2016 Chairman, Ealing North North Area PPG Network. Founding member and elected Chairman of the network of GP practice PPGs in my area of Ealing. I started the group informally in Autumn 2014; it was put on an official footing in Spring 2015 when I was elected Chairman.
2013-2015 Active Member, Healthwatch Ealing with a special interest in Primary Care. Healthwatch works to help local people get the best out of their local health and social care services. Represented Healthwatch Ealing at various NHS primary care consultation meetings. Responsibility for the “Patient View Best Practice Guidelines for GPs”.
2012-present Chairman, Barnabas Patient Voices. Founding member and elected Chairman of my GP’s patient group. Instrumental in defining, establishing and branding the group which acts as a critical friend to the Practice. Manage the group’s Facebook page and web presence.
Until September 2021 the group was known as Barnabas Medical Centre Patient Participation Group.
2012-2013 Member, Ealing LINk NHS Commissioning & GP Action Group. LINks provided a patient voice in organisation of local healthcare. Took on responsibility for Ealing LINk’s work defining “Patient View Best Practice Guidelines for GPs”.

August 2021-October 2023 Member, Ealing Community Review Panel. Appointed member of London Borough of Ealing citizens’ review panel which considers proposed development plans at an early stage and advises the council’s planners.
