Enormous and weird glass sculpture hanging like the sword of Damocles over the Information Desk in the entrace hall of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. No I don’t know either!
It was a swine to photograph. It’s quite interesting viewed on a black background too.
I actually like that – though I wouldn't have it in the house!
Unless you have a cathedral-sized house you wouldn't egt it in the house — it must be 25 feet high! Compare with the balustrade bottom right, which is 3-4 feet high. And frankly I think it's hideous; a total waste of money.
30 feet high, apparently, and quite a challenge to clean – don't know if this link will work, but if not, it's on the V&A website (search on Chihuly – the name of the artist)http://www.vam.ac.uk/res_cons/conservation/behind/chihuly/index.html
The link does work. I had paused to wonder how on earth they would clean it. I think I might have preferred it all in shades of blue – or all in shades of gree rather than the mixture. Reminds me of Medusa really.
